TIM REID, an accomplished actor, writer, director and producer, co-founded New Millennium Studios alongside partner and wife Daphne Maxwell Reid in 1997. New Millennium Studios (NMS) is a partnership between the Reids, Mark Warner and Armada/Hoffler, as well as the culmination of a lifelong dream for the husband and wife team.

The Reids spent many years flying between coasts for their demanding careers in the entertainment industry, but always had envisioned relocating to Tim's home state of Virginia. Finally, in the summer of 1997, the dream became a reality, as Hollywood welcomed Virginia's first full-service studio complex to the entertainment community of film, television, music videos and commercials.

DAPHNE MAXWELL REID is most widely recognized for her role as Aunt Viv on NBC's hit comedy "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air." She is also known for her role on the CBS comedy series "Frank's Place," in which she co-starred with her husband, Tim. The couple teamed up again when she starred as Mickie Dennis on CBS' "Snoops," and also on the King World syndicated talk show, "The Tim and Daphne Show" for 76 1-hour episodes. Currently, she stars as Eartha on the Showtime series, "Linc's."

DAN HOFFLER had a vision that gave birth to Armada/Hoffler and has fostered its growth for over 17 years. His vision was to create development opportunities in what was then largely an undeveloped section of Chesapeake, an area known as Greenbrier. Since then, Armada/Hoffler has become one of the premiere commercial real estate development and construction organizations in Virginia. Construction revenue alone has grown from $11 million dollars in 1984 to over $150 million dollars in 1997.
