DAN
HOFFLER had a vision that gave birth to Armada/Hoffler and has
fostered its growth for over 17 years. His vision was to create development
opportunities in what was then largely an undeveloped section of Chesapeake,
an area known as Greenbrier. Since then, Armada/Hoffler has become
one of the premiere commercial real estate development and construction
organizations in Virginia. Construction revenue alone has grown from
$11 million dollars in 1984 to over $150 million dollars in 1997.
Before starting Armada/Hoffler, Hoffler held the position of Vice
President of Marketing with Eastern International, Inc. Prior to that,
he was employed as regional manager for Dun and Bradstreet and was
responsible for the coordination of all services and sales operations
within his region.
In 1986, he was appointed to a five-year term
on the Governor's Advisory Board for Industrial Development for the
Commonwealth of Virginia. In 1987, he was chosen as the Outstanding
Citizen of Hampton Roads. In 1989, he served as Chairman of the Finance
Committee for the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, L. Douglas
Wilder. Hoffler recently served as a member of the Commonwealth of
Virginia Transportation Board and as a member of the University of
Virginia Board of Visitors. Currently, he serves as Vice-Chairman
of the Hampton Roads Partnership and is Co-Chairman of its Public/Private
Task Force.
Hoffler received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration from Campbell University in North Carolina.
